Inclement weather is forecast for periods of the
TAAF Games of Texas (Brownsville) July 25-28,2024
The scheduled start times are published on www.taaf.com Our plan is to start each day as planned, in the event of inclement weather (lightning) we will pause seek cover and wait 30 minute time period. Long delays may occur, and the schedule may go into the evening and possible late night! All track athletes should be advised that a ‘Timed final” may be used. Athletes should treat their prelim event as a possible final, in the event time/weather does not permit actual finals to occur. Long delays may occur for some indoor sports including swimming.
REMINDERS:
1) a new 30 minute cycle begins each time a new lightning strike occurs within range. 2) Each athlete / team / coach etc., is responsible to listen to announcements or check the website for any schedule changes. Any changes that are posted are official and athletes will be accountable to these postings.
